Flowerdale and Gairloch Harbour

A walk up Flowerdale glen and a wildlife watch at the mouth of Gairloch harbour

  • 35 British pounds
  • Gairloch

Safari Description

Starting from Gairloch harbour we'll stop and watch at the harbour mouth for a while, looking out for bird life and a possible glimpse of an otter. We'll then walk up Flowerdale glen, a beautiful wooded valley with an abundance of plant life and many birds. There is a steep climb on rough paths up to the spectacular Flowerdale waterfall, rewarded by great views over Gairloch harbour and out to the Western Isles on a fine day, so you'll need to be reasonably fit. The walk is about 3 miles and will take about 3 hours. The harbour and first part of the walk is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
